COURSE REVIEW:

Bowdoin College Course Reviews is a website where students can read up on professors before they decide to take a class with them. It is by students, for students, and lists classes with that professor, terms, review of the course itself – including readings and graded work – and a review of the professor based on the effectiveness of their lectures, speed at which they returned work, how fair their grading is, etc.

SUBSCRIPTIONS:

The BSG maintains a large subscription for student use to a number of popular newspapers. Students may peruse any of the daily newspapers found in the Dining halls, but please be sure to return them to the shelves afterwards. If you have any suggestions for newspapers you would like to see added to the subscription, please contact Vice President for Facilities and Sustainability, Kevin Hernandez.

ADDITIONAL PRINTING SUBSIDY:

Thanks to coordination between the BSG, Facilities, and Onecard, students who find that their coursework requires a large number of prints may request additional free prints by emailing onecard@bowdoin.edu. Please be mindful that the printing allocation system was implemented to reduce waste and promote sustainability.

When requesting additional pages, please include the following information:

1. Your current printing balance;
2. A list of which classes you are taking;
3. An estimate, per class, of how many double-sided pages you need to print for the remainder of the semester.OneCard staff will follow up on your request to ask for more information if needed, or provide a decision on additional prints.

The allocation is intended for academic purposes only. Additional print allocation credits are typically capped at 250 double-sided pages. Requests will not be approved during the first six weeks of a semester, nor will requests for additional prints be considered until a student reaches $5.00 in remaining allocation balance.
