Student Written One-Act Festival

Every year since 1934, Masque and Gown has hosted an annual student-written one-act playwriting festival. Since that time, the contest has awarded cash prizes now underwritten by Hunter S. Frost ‘47. The next one-act festival will take place in Spring 2015.

Highlights from last year

We had a one-acts weekend! On Friday, April 5, Callie Ferguson’s play Empty Nest was voted the best one-act by the Bowdoin audience.

Then on Saturday, April 6, Bowdoin hosted the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin One-Act Festival!

On Friday, April 4, Noah Bragg’s play Kindness, I Suppose was voted the best one-act by the Bowdoin audience.

Then on Saturday, April 5, Bowdoin hosted the second annual Colby-Bates-Bowdoin One-Act Festival!
