You can contact them directly with questions, or to advocate for policies and causes that matter to you. Add your reps’ contact info to your phone so you can tell them what’s on your mind whenever you want.
Who Are My Home State Reps?
There are two tools we like to look up your local, state and federal reps:
- Common Cause’s lookup tool is easiest to use but may not show your local officials
- USA.gov’s tool includes most local offices but is not as slick.
Who Are My Reps at Bowdoin?
Municipal representatives: Follow the links to find members of Brunswick Town Council and Brunswick School Board. “At Large” councilors represent (and are voted on by) the entire town, while Bowdoin residence halls are located in 4 of the town’s 7 districts. See which district you live in.
Maine State House of Representatives – all of Bowdoin campus housing is located within district 50 of the Maine House (see map), which is represented by Ralph Tucker, 800-423-2900). Other parts of Brunswick are located in district 49 (represented by Poppy Arford, 800-423-2900) and district 51 (represented by Joyce McCreight, 800-423-2900).
Governor: Maine’s Governor is Janet Mills (207-287-3531).
Federal Legislators:
US Senate – Maine’s two Senators are Angus King (202-224-5344) and Susan Collins (202-224-2523).
US House of Representatives – Brunswick is located in Maine’s 1st Congressional District (see map), which is represented by Chellie Pingree (202-225-6116).
