Rosh Hashanah\u00a0marks the start of the Jewish New Year and the beginning of a 10-day period of repentance; the traditional greeting is shanah tovah or “happy new year!” The 10 day period, known as the “Days of Awe,” concludes with Yom Kippur, a day of strict fasting known as\u00a0“the Day of Atonement.”<\/p>\n All are welcome to attend these upcoming holiday events sponsored by Bowdoin Hillel.
