Health Services is where you want to go when you are feeling under the weather. Located on the 3rd floor of the Buck Center, they provide free condoms, self-care packets, and more.
The Office of the Dean of Student Affairs has recently compiled an extensive list of Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Resources to create a safe learning environment where students have access to the education, resources, and support they need to make healthy decisions.
The Counseling Center offers resources as well. Located at 32 College Street, the staff are available for appointments during the week. Check out these audio clips on iTunes from Counseling, ranging from hypnosis to meditation.
Bowdoin has a new Buck Center for Health and Fitness that offers many classes and events each semester to support wellness on campus. Classes include various forms of yoga, tai chi, qi gong, and meditation. Check out the current listings.
On the first floor of the Buck Center, you’ll find the new gym with a rock wall, cardiovascular fitness and weight machines, free weights, rowing machines, and more. Athletics can be found on the 2nd floor of the Buck Center.
In addition to the Buck Center, other athletic facilities are open during many hours of the day. Make sure you have your bathing suit and skates as the Greason Pool and Watson Arena are open during these hours!
Bowdoin Dining has won several awards for their food. It’s no wonder why – they make it easy to eat well. Their website explains their philosophy and provides recipes, menus, and nutritional information.
