Founded in 1995, the Latin American Student Organization (LASO) is a group of students who welcome all those who are interested in and or identify with Latino American culture. Our group includes students who have lived, traveled to, or currently reside in various countries in South and Central America. Central to many of our activities is an emphasis on music, Latin food, and culture.

Mission

LASO aims to educate and unite the Latino and greater communities. LASO is a cultural organization aimed at assisting the Latino community adjust to life at Bowdoin and find a place of comfort while striving to educate ourselves and the greater community about Latino culture, customs, and issues and combating stereotypes and bias.
