This Thursday, October 15 at 8 PM in Pickard Theater, Miscellania will be performing alongside the Longfellows, BOKA, Ursus Verses, and the Meddiebempsters at the Student A Cappella Showcase in honor of our new President, Clayton S. Rose! We hope you can join us in celebrating this momentous occasion. The concert will also be streamed live at bowdoin.edu/live for those who cannot attend!
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us at the Recruitment Concert on Friday! We had a blast, and we hope you did too. If you would like to hear more from us, we will be coming around to the freshman dorms tonight, along with the other a cappella groups, so be sure to be on the look out for us!
Auditions times are going to be:
Monday, September 14 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM (walk-ins after 11)
Tuesday, September 15 6 PM to 11 PM (walk-ins after 11)
Auditions will be in the Peucinian room in Sills Hall. Sign up sheets can be found at the Smith Union info desk!
Welcome back everyone, and congrats on completing your first full week of classes! We cannot wait to finally get the a cappella year started, and we are kicking off with the annual recruitment concert on Friday, September 11 at 8 PM in the Chapel! Come watch us, along with five other fantastic a cappella groups, sing the night away so you can see what Bowdoin a cappella is all about!
We will be holding auditions shortly after on Monday, September 14 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and Tuesday, September 15 from 6 PM to 11 PM. Make sure to sign up for an audition time at the Smith Union info desk!
Hello freshmen, Miscellania would like to formally welcome you to Bowdoin! We all remember our very first days as Bowdoin freshmen; it’s a very exciting as well as busy time. Get ready for a year full of great times and lots of fun! We are so incredibly excited to meet each and every one of you. For those of you who just can’t wait to jump into the a cappella scene, have no fear! There will be a recruitment concert sometime the second week of September in which you will be able to hear all of the a cappella groups sing and get a better feel for each group; make sure to keep an eye out for us! We will be holding auditions shortly after that so be sure to check back for more details.

Our first gig of the semester will be on the road in Wilton, CT (hometown of Emily Tucker, Missy ’15). An Evening of A Cappella is an annual benefit concert for the Wilton Playshop, New England’s longest continually-run non-profit community theater. Miscellania will perform alongside three other a cappella groups from NYU, Cornell, and Columbia. We are so excited to help promote & raise money for the arts.
If you’re near to Wilton, CT, come out and support the performing arts! Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for students and seniors. We will be selling our *NEW CD* for $10. Get yours before they sell out!
