Welcome back, everyone! We are so excited for another great semester of a cappella.  There are so many cool things going on this semester, and we can’t wait for everything to get under way.  First years: welcome!! We can’t wait to meet you.  Here’s a list of some of our upcoming events, concerts, and happenings:

• Recruitment Concert: Friday, September 12th, 9:00PM

• Dorm Sings: Sunday, September 14th, time TBD. We will be traveling to all of the first-year dorms with the Longfellows to sing a few songs and meet-and-greet with you all!

• Auditions: Monday, September 15th 5-6:30pm, 9:30-11:00pm; Tuesday, September 16th 7-10pm, 10-11pm walk ins.  You can sign up at the info desk in Smith Union starting on Friday night.

• Family weekend concerts: Friday & Saturday, October 31st & November 1st, times TBD

• CD RELEASE!!! We will be releasing our new CD late this semester.  Check back here for updates about fundraising events and our official release date!

According to our calendar, it is December. Didn’t we just get our new first-years and start classes?! This semester sure has flown by. We’ll be updating our YouTube account and website soon with photos, videos, and posts about what we’ve been up to. What a crazy semester!

Tomorrow night we will be performing at the Date Auction for Philippine Haiyan Relief: come out to Mac House at 8PM to support an awesome cause. A whole bunch of amazing Bowdoin students are being auctioned off for a date. All proceeds will go towards relief for the Philippines. Even if you don’t want to participate in the date auction, there will be plenty of food, great music, two awesome MCs, and a whole lot of laughs. Donations will also be gladly accepted!

Last night was our first performance with our new first-years: Roya, Laura, and Jiaqi!  We have been working super hard, and we are SO excited to debut two new songs this weekend. Congrats to our first years on a great first concert!

Miscellania will be holding Fall auditions on Monday, September 16th 9:30-11:30pm, and Tuesday, September 17th 5:00-6:30PM and 9:30-11:30PM.  Sign up for an audition time at the SU Info Desk! 

TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT!! Our first concert of the year- The Recruitment Concert!  Come hear all six Bowdoin A Cappella groups perform in the Chapel at 7:30PM so you can get an idea of who you want to audition for (or, just come to hear all of the awesome groups sing!)

Our audition posters will be posted around campus shortly with more information about time, location, and what to prepare.  Sign up sheets are located at the Info Desk in Smith Union!
