The Bowdoin Equestrian Team is a club sport open to anyone interested in horseback riding and welcomes students of all backgrounds and skill levels to join. In the fall, members compete in both hunter and equitation classes. It is typical to ride twice a week. However, members commonly meet outside of lesson times for additional team activities such as horse treat baking or local outings to the beach. Underwood Farm is located a few miles from campus and uses over eight horses in its lesson program. Check out the Barn page for more information and to meet our coach! Interested in joining the team or just want to know a bit more of what it’s all about? Contact Maria Garcia at mgarcia2@bowdoin.edu or Maddie Nortz at mnortz@bowdoin.edu.

Members of the Equestrian team gather for a family photo after a show at Lucky Clover Stables. Each rider left with a ribbon, including two first places!

Captain Grace Hambelton ’21, Frede Hibbs ’21 and Kathryn McGinnis ’21 warm up for a show in December.
